visit to vet

Finally back from vet clinic. Today got alot of dogs at there. We was late for appointment. I thought it's at 10.30am but reached there register, they say it's 10am..
I was very excited. We waited for around half and hr more to our turn.
Vet say her tummy are still small. Asked me is it sure already 45 days?
Actually I'm not sure. Then she say must started counting from the last time they mated which is the last week of May.
I miscalculated. I started counting from the 4th week of May instead of last week of May...
Vet say its might can't seen anything yet but we can still go for a x-ray to see. Princess was taken inside the clinic.
She was struggling. She always struggle, kinda scared of strangers... although not the first time to go to the same vet...
We was asked to wait for her at the counter.
We wait around 10 mins and they took princess out. Poor girl was scared to hell. Keep climbing on me...
We was asked to wait for 15 mins for the x -ray result.

5 mins passed...
...
...
10 mins...
...
...
20 mins...

Ended up we waited around half an hr.
The vet showed us the x-ray and say the puppies are too small too see. Means that it might be that she is still not preggy 45 days yet.
She also said Princess are highly suspect that she is preggy got they can feel two lumps in her tummy which couldn't be shit or kidneys.
It's being confirmed by two vet after they checked her. I have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks to see how many fetus she have...

...

So we made another appointment at 17th July... again...

Sitting outside the clinic cause inside got alot of dogs...
Kinda smelly...

Princess was sleepy all the way , except when we passed her to the vet..

Borrowed this from library, hoping to made some home made cookies for her...

Belle wanted to go with me but too bad her school holiday are over.

1st day of Sch...

Yesterday found 5 adults rabbits and 4 newborn rabbits with cages being abandoned just next to my block. Poor thing was scared to hell, keep on hiding and never took care of the babies. Lucky someone else had already called SPCA but I dunno they got come or not cos when I found the chinchillas and called them to come and take, they say come at 8pm but never came... *doink*.
Dunno why people can hust treat them like rubbish and throw them next to a rubbish dump!!

I almost forgot today was the opening of school. I keep thinking its on july 1st. Was planning to go SPCA today cos I thought school open 1st. Hmm, promised to bring her go..

Tomorrow are the big day!
But still suspect got or not cos the tummy are not getting bigger. Dunno is it a false alarm...

HORROR FIND IN EAST COAST PARK - Dog left to die in a plastic bag

By Teh Jen Lee
June 11, 2009

IT WAS left to die in the most cold-hearted way.

SAVED, JUST IN TIME: Pom Pom the pomeranian was found tied up in a plastic bag near a rubbish bin in East Coast Park. Ms Esther Wong and Miss Rayne Gan have since looked after it and are hoping to find someone to adopt Pom Pom. PICTURE: RAYNE GAN

A female pomeranian dog, about seven years old, was found in a tied-up plastic bag near a rubbish bin at East Coast Park last Friday night.

It had a nerve injury and was not able to stand on its own.

Fortunately, it was found by a group of about 10 friends who had planned to go fishing near Bedok Jetty.

Miss Rayne Gan, 26, a marketing executive, told The New Paper how they found the dog at about 11pm that night.

'One of my friends took along his dog, a Husky. It started straining towards the rubbish bin, towards a red plastic bag in particular.

'It's usually alert to the presence of other animals, so we thought there could be a dead dog in the bag, which was loosely tied up,' she said.

Out of curiosity, they opened the bag and found a motionless dog inside.

Miss Gan said: 'We thought it was dead at first. It was lying on its side, not making any sound. It was covered with pee and poo.

'When we looked closer, we realised it was alive. The poor thing was very weak and shivering from the cold.'

Her first thought: 'How could someone be so heartless to dump a dog like it was rubbish? Throwing it away, not bothering whether it survives or slowly dies of pain.

'The owner should respect a dog's life. Dogs have feelings too. A pet is for life and it should be treated like a family member.'

Miss Gan's friend wanted to send the dog to the Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) but she decided instead to call her friend, an experienced dog rescuer.

Her friend, nursing student Esther Wong, 22, has helped about 10 animals in the past four years.

She agreed to put up the dog for a few days so MissGan drove to Ms Wong's home in Woodlands with the injured animal.

Ms Wong, who has three dogs and a blind cat, said the dog had a good appetite. It gobbled up two trays of dog food.

Miss Gan, who has two mongrel dogs as pets, said: 'It was malnourished, like it had not eaten for days. I could feel its ribs.'

That night, the dog, which has been named Pom Pom, would howl loudly whenever it was alone.

Ms Wong said: 'My husband and I stayed up until about 4am, petting her head until she finally went to sleep.'

The next day, Pom Pom was taken to the vet and was prescribed vitamin B complex for its nerve injury.

Miss Gan said: 'The vet can't determine how the nerve injury came about. It could be an accident, abuse or an illness.'

If Pom Pom does not recover movement in two weeks, it means that its may be permanent. Ms Wong said she may go to another vet for a second opinion.

Meanwhile, she tries to help Pom Pom by stretching its limbs and exercising its muscles a few times a day, as instructed by the vet.

Pom Pom was also taken to a groomer, who cut off its fur as it was matted with dirt.

Although Miss Gan and Ms Wong have grown fond of Pom Pom, they can't keep it because of their existing pets.

Pom Pom's up for adoption

They have made postings about Pom Pom on forums, hoping that a prospective long-term owner will step forward.

So far, there have been donations of pee pads to line Pom Pom's basket and lactose-free milk suitable for dogs.

They are also hoping for witnesses who may have seen the culprit abandoning the plastic bag at East Coast Park.

Miss Gan said: 'My friend who had been there earlier that night said two joggers had passed by and mentioned that they saw someone dump the bag, but he's not sure at what time.'

The case has been reported to the SPCA.

SPCA executive officer Deirdre Moss said: 'It's blatant abandonment, which is against the law. The people responsible should be prosecuted.

'There's no excuse for that. If no one had seen the dog, it could have been carried away in a rubbish truck.'

Under the Animals and Birds Act, anyone convicted of abandoning an animal can be fined up to $10,000 and jailed for up to a year.

Took Princess to vet today.
She said still need to wait another 2 weeks then can scan whether she is really preggy or not.
She said at least must wait for 45 days from the day they mated.
She feel her tummy and said her cervix had thicken but cant feel any fetus yet.
I asked her whether it is dangerous for her to get preggy cos she so small size and still young. She replied that she had seen much smaller size dog than Princess and people used them for breeding. She said its safe for her to have cesarean and young is not a problem, as like human, young more better as health are more better.

So her next appointment will be at 30th June.
Will be scanning whether got BBs or not... :)

Don't mind my face. No makeup.
Just rebond my hair. Yeah!!!

Princess... Preggy or not.?

This is specially written for "JustPastBy"!!

Actually I was hoping she is 'not' preggy at all.
She just came her first menses and she is still not emotionally mature to be a mother. I was planning to wait till she had menses twice if I ever going to breed her.

There are signs that seems like she is preggy but is not confirm by vet.
Me and my friend, Benny was planning to bring her down to vet tml for checkup to confirm.

She is too young to get preggy. It might cost her her life's if not taken extra care on her...

I'm a Idiot...

Please tell me I'm a idiot.

Yesterday morning at ard 11am, Belle and I, with my friend took cab to SPCA and guess what?
They are closed on Thursday!!!

I'm really are stupid!
I have been to their website for so many times and even checked their opening hrs, the bus journey, I got saw the 'thurs - closed' written on it, but I totally forgotten about it...

We are really very damn disappointed...
Imagine, ALL the way from west to east and ended up we cant go in!!

So what to do?

I told Belle we will go again next Monday.
But this time, I will make sure I will be able to go inside!! And of cos we are going down by MRT. I can't stand sitting in cab for so long. Belle and I can get car sick easily...

My friend suggest we go to Lim Chu Kang.
So we home and took bicycle there.
So we went to Farmart. There are nothing much there. 2 pets shops had closed down.

All we see are nothing interesting.
So we went to Fish city instead.

Just saw a few interesting thing..
We also went to see the guppies. So pretty all of them. But very ex cos all are "purebreed" de.

The weather was so hot I felt I'm melting under the sun when on the way there in bicycle.
Although was disappointed that I couldn't go in SPCA, but we had a fun day also...

A little shopping~

Today brought Belle to West Mall.
We need to return the overdue library books we borrowed few weeks ago. I was fine $4.80 and worse, I forgotten to bring 2 other books. Haiz...
Then Belle borrowed another 6 books, 3 english and 3 chinese storybooks. I borrowed a book about dog care.
Then I went to PLC and bought snacks and collars for my chis.

They loves the new snacks.
Finished very fast after I gave them.
The collars are actually cat's collar. They are too small size, hard to buy collar suitable for them.

Actually wanted to go SPCA today, but the library books are overdue too long so I decided to return the books first.
Maybe will go tomorrow if nothing goes wrong.

Diaries~

Last night while looking thru my stuffs for some mangas, I saw my diary which I keep recording of my "little" secrets since 1993, which I was only 11 years old and till 2000.
I got the urge and so I flipped thru.
I was really very funny when I was young. Not to mention naive.
Imagine, 11 yrs old and already know to like some guy. Some many gammar mistakes... just like a little school girl handwriting.
Then I flipped further on and it brought back some memories which I had long forgotten.
Those puppy loves, friendships, schooling times...
Which I'm glad I had a habit to write diary.
I told myself when the time I have die, I wanted all my diaries to be bury with me.
Since I'm dead, might as well bring those memories with me...

I was hoping Belle have this same habits as me.
It's good for her. Can improve her english and let her have some sweet and bitter memories to remember when she grow old.

I still keep diary now.
But as often as I used to before I got my kiddos.
Now I'm trying to get this habits back on line. So that I can read thru when I was 40 or 50. Hahaha...

I know I'm blogging now but keeping diaries are so much different from blogging.
You will forget the website you blog, the website might closed down but books will never disappear unless you throw away or misplace it...

Just now Karin sms me and told me one of our friend's son had admitted hospital.
Still not sure what's wrong, but very terrible cause her son are only few mths old.
She must feel very worried and sad.
I tried before.
Jayden was admitted in hospital when he was only few mths old because of fever.
He got urinal infection.
Aiyo, break my heart when all those tubes and needle are all over him...
His useless-like-shit father never even came once to see him.
He was busy living with his "gf" at Signature Park, a condo he rented to live with her.
I remember after my two elders went to bed, I will walk to KKH to stay with him till morning, then walk back home.
Lucky it's nothing serious...
Now he is a healthy but very small size baby. Hahaha, always my littel baby...
The one who was actually never meant to have but still came to this world.
